Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics for visitor statistics only with your permission. Google then receives your IP address, technical information and a random cookie identifier. Trip plans are not sent. The site works equally well without analytics.
Trip planning sends places and coordinates to Geoapify and forecast locations to MET Norway through our server. Map tiles are fetched and cached by our server. The app does not forward your IP address to these services. A shared-trip link contains places and times and is not encrypted. Shared trips are not stored in a trip database on our server.
Controller: Norrlandskod Aktiebolag. We measure visits and feature use to improve the site, based on your voluntary consent. You can change your choice at any time under Cookies and analytics. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies _ga (browser identifier) and _ga_* (session information) for up to 180 days. Your consent choice, timestamp and notice version are stored locally for 180 days; then we ask again.
Google Ireland Limited processes analytics on our behalf. Visits, technical information and feature use may be recorded. Google receives your IP address during the connection, but GA4 does not store it. We do not send form contents, destinations, travel dates, shared links or full referring URLs to Analytics.
Detailed user and event data are retained for two months, without renewal on new visits. Aggregate reports may remain longer. Processing may occur outside the EU/EEA, including the USA, under Google's data protection terms and applicable transfer safeguards. See the links below.
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, and complain to IMY. Contact us by email below. Azure and Cloudflare process IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. Language and saved trips needed for requested features are handled separately from analytics.

Advertising
The home page uses Google AdSense for one discreet ad placement near the bottom. Google’s consent message lets you accept, refuse or customize data use. Google may still show limited ads after a refusal where permitted. Google and its ad partners may receive your IP address and technical data. Ordinary non-personalized ads may use cookies for frequency capping and reporting; limited ads may use storage solely to prevent invalid traffic. See the vendors and purposes in Google’s consent message. We do not send trip plans to AdSense. Shared trip links with exact addresses do not load ads.
Change advertising choices via Privacy on the home page. Our separate Google Analytics statistics run only after analytics consent.
